1.6.4 Tab Temporary file storage

This tab enables you to determine how long the cache for material files to be opened externally, images and report files created in the detail tabs should be saved. If something is saved in the cache, it can be loaded much faster, but the data may not be up to date. The Lifetime in hours defines, how many hours content is saved in the cache. During this time, the content has not to be reloaded and is therefore much faster, but it is not updated.

If you set the Lifetime in hours to 0, nothing will be saved in the cache. The content will be up to date but will be reloaded every single time, which decreases the performance.
