Saving changes is a basic function relevant to all Web Apps. This article demonstrates how changes in the editing dialog of items can be saved and how this dialog can be exited.

1 How to save changes

Changes are saved the following way:

As long as no changes have been implemented, the save button (1) appears faded in gray. 

As soon as any kind of change has been performed, the save button (1) will activate, appearing in orange. Now it can be clicked.

2 How to exit the editing dialog

This chapter demonstrates how the editing dialog is exited.

The editing dialog can be exited by clicking the exit button (1). 

If the exit button is clicked without saving changes before, this notification will occur, asking if changes are supposed to be saved (1) or if the editing dialog shall be left without saving changes (2).
