    Title view for sources

In the title view, the messages from the sources activated in the menu bar are displayed in a tile grid. If you have started a full-text search in the menu bar, only the results from the activated sources are displayed.

The tiles are sorted from top left to bottom right in descending order of relevance. The most recent sources are at the top left.

The header in the source title view

    Change the display of sources

There are three options for display: title, list or column view for sources .

    Create new topic

You can create a new topic in the header of the content area.

    • Click the New Topic button in the header of the content area.

You can refresh the view of source posts in the content area at any time. This way, you'll always see the most recent posts and stay up to date.

→ The active sources in the content area are updated.

    Add or remove source

You also have the option to add new sources.

    Source tiles

On each tile of a source message, you'll see a preview image or, alternatively, a placeholder image. The row below contains the source's logo, the headline (the account name on Twitter and Facebook), and the "New Topic" button. This is followed by the actual message or post. At the bottom of each tile, the time elapsed since publication is highlighted, along with the publication date and time. In the bottom right corner of the tile, you'll see the logo of the source channel; on Twitter, you'll also see the number of retweets and likes the post has received so far.

On a source tile you will find the following information:

    1: Thumbnail or placeholder symbol

2: Logo of the source (if available)

3: Headline of the source message

    4: New Topic button

5: Text of the source message.

6: Timeliness of the source message

7: Symbol for the type of source channel (here, for example: news agency)

8: Date and time of publication of the source message

    View source

You can open a message in its full original format in a pop-up window .

    • Click on the preview image on a tile or on the placeholder image.

→ The pop-up window for the original view of the source message opens.

Create new topic from the source

You can create a new topic using the New Topic button on the source tile. The source data is automatically imported into the otherwise unedited topic editing window.

    • Click the New Topic button on the Sources tile.

→ The topic editing window opens and the source data is entered.

    Source pop-up window

The pop-up window contains two sections: the left, larger section displays the source in its original format. Since some content doesn't fit entirely within the window, the display can be scrolled. The right section displays metadata and allows you to open the article in a separate browser tab or close the pop-up window.

    Metadata

In the right section of the pop-up window, you will see more detailed information about the source, slightly different depending on the type of source. Here is an example of a tweet:

    1: Source channel with logo

2: Icon X to close the pop-up window

3: Profile photo/logo, name and account ID

4: Date and time of publication, number of retweets and number of likes

5: Hashtags. For non-personalized sources, such as news agencies, the author's name is mentioned here.

    6: Text content

7: Button to open the tweet in a new browser tab

Open source in a new browser tab

    • Click the Open in new tab button.

→ The pop-up window will close and the source message will open in a new browser window.

    Close pop-up window

    • Click the X icon in the top right corner of the pop-up window.

→ The pop-up window will close.

The footer in the source title view

    • On the right side of the footer, select how many hits should be displayed in the content area at the same time.

    Go to another results page

    • Scroll forward or backward through the results pages by clicking on one of the arrows in the navigation field in the middle of the footer.
Or select one of the pages directly.
