FAQ

Here you'll find the answers to Frequently Asked Questions = FAQ.

 Which video formats are supported?

Different browsers (Mozilla Firefox/Chrome/Internet Explorer etc.) do not support all video formats. For working with Shield, we recommend the Chrome browser - Mozilla Firefox and IE can also be used. These browsers support the mp4 format, and the ogg and mov formats are also supported. Other video formats must first be converted in order to become playable.

What do the "i" signs in Shield mean?

The "i"-fields contain important information with more detailed descriptions. To access the info, simply hover over the "i" with your mouse. Please note that not every "i" contains further information.

Where can I find the screening protocols in CE? (only for customers with connected CE/Media Applications)

All protocols are automatically saved in the Content Explorer = CE under the respective version. They can be found in that version in the "Documents" tab. There may be several reports. They can be differentiated by the date and time, which are stored.

Where can I find the screening protocols in Shield?

No protocols are stored in Shield itself. They are automatically stored in the Content Explorer = CE and on the local drive. However, you can download the protocol again at any time using the "Report preview" function (PDF symbol on the left).

Which matrix can I use for my screening?

The default matrix used is predefined in the "Matrix" tab (to the right of "Screening"). This ensures that all users always have access to the latest version of a matrix. It's important to note that once an annotation has been set from a matrix, it can no longer be adjusted or changed.

 How are my annotations saved?

This happens automatically. Everything that is typed into Shield is immediately saved by the autosave function.

Can I edit a protocol later on?

Yes, with the reload button you can reopen and edit screenings that have already been completed. The set annotations can be edited, supplemented and/or deleted as a new protocol. This protocol is automatically saved as a new document, and all previous protocols remain unchanged.

Can I specifically control the annotated timecodes = TCs in the video?

With a simple click on the desired annotation, Shield jumps directly to "TC in" (start time).

Can I play clips defined in Shield?

Yes, by clicking on the generated screenshot, the clip will play and automatically stop at the end of "TC out".
