8 VoD in ContentExplorer

The content management system ContentExplorer incorporates an autonomous Video on Demand scheduling application. The scheduling process is based on licenses. The licenses are entered and processed similar to conventional licenses by the license department. For VOD licenses it is necessary to allocate the respective VOD channels and license periods.

Some specific VOD objects were implemented into the ContentExplorer:

• VOD channel: The VOD channel corresponds to the portal and has the attribute VOD_CHANNEL. An individual channel has to be assigned for each portal.
• VOD version type: This is a version type whose code yields/carries the abbreviation "VOD". The abbreviation"VOD" is fix!
• VOD version: A program version with a VOD version type.
• VOD genre type: A genre type with a "VOD" code. The abbreviation "VOD" is fix!
• VOD genre: A genre which was assigned with a VOD genre type.
