Channel

A channel can be a tv channel (like NBC, CBS or QVC) or a VoD channel (like Netflix USA). Channels can be created and maintained in Admin > Edit parameters > Channel. Channels can have various attributes, which are described in the system parameters. Channels can also have a matrix of rights, which defines, which rights an item needs to be broadcasted on this channel. To edit the rights of a channel, please proceed as follows:

1. Click the button Assign rights to a channel .
   → The dialog Channel rights opens.
   
2. Add the rights of the channel in this dialog. You can also define periods of validity. If you need an additional right for a channel in the new year for example, you can copy the existing matrix of rights with the button . Afterwards, you can change the valid from date and add the new right to the matrix of rights.
3. Save your changes with OK.

The field Channel defines, for which channels this list item is valid. For example: A window is usually assigned to one channel (exception: multi channel) and can only be aired on this channel. If the program should be broadcasted on several channels, several windows are necessary (exception: multi channel).
