The Assets App bridges the gap between content entries from the Content App (programs, series, trailers etc.) and the actual media files the audience will see. It allows to create and manage video files, images, documents, URLS and links to external Media Asset Management (MAM) systems.

Annotations allow to mark specific moments in video assets with timecodes. Based on those timecodes, different types of annotations can be added. Annotation types can be created by users in the parameters.
Annotations can be used, for example, to provide specific parts of a movie with comments about partental ratings. Those comments (annotations) can then be forwarded to the corresponding department to assign extra partenal ratings to specific scenes.

In order to schedule commercials, assets need to be seperated into multiple segments to place commercials between them. This can be done in the Segmentation tab:
