    Calendar view for planning

https://createctrl.helpjuice.com/en_US/plan/plan In the menu bar of the "Plan" tab, you can limit the number of topics visible in the content area using two filters. You can perform a title search, and you can also restrict the view of topics to the intended publication channels. More information on this can be found on the overview page for the "Plan" tab .

The header in the plan calendar view

At the top of the content area is the header of the plan calendar view. Here you can change the planning view (calendar, title, or list view), create a new topic, select a time slot for display, or specify the start date for that time slot.

    Create new topic

You can create a new topic in the header of the content area.

Select a time slot for the display

The content area displays the topics scheduled for publication within a specific time period. You can select the display period in the header on the far right: week or month.

    • Click Week or Month on the right side of the header.

→ The selected period is displayed in the content area.

Depending on the width of your screen, you may need to scroll horizontally to see the entire time period.

Set the start date of the time window

A date picker for the start date of the time slot appears in the center of the content area header.
Double arrow buttons appear on both sides of the date picker, allowing you to move the start date of the time window back or forward by one week.

    • Click the date picker field and select the start date for the display time window from the date picker pop-up.

→ The time window is set to the selected start date.

Topics and stories in the calendar view

    Plan topics

Each topic is displayed in a separate, gray-shaded block in a single row. The width of the block corresponds to the topic's time period. Above the topics is a row of column headings that form a daily grid, similar to a table containing the topic rows. In the weekly time frame, the column heading displays the day of the week and the full calendar date for each day in two lines; in the monthly time frame, only the month is displayed on the left margin and above the first of the month, as well as the day and month. The current day is highlighted in color.

The gray background of a topic block extends horizontally across the topic's time period. You may occasionally need to scroll horizontally or pan the time window to see the entire topic period.

The topic's thumbnail is displayed on the left side of a topic block. As you hover the mouse over the block, the thumbnail becomes grayed out, and the Add to Favorites , Edit , and Delete buttons appear in the dimmed image.
Next to the thumbnail, the time period of the topic is shown in orange font, as well as the title of the topic.

Three buttons appear on the thumbnail as soon as your mouse is over it:

    1 : Add to Favorites
    2 : Edit
    3 : Delete

Add or remove topic to favorites

You can use the star icon to add the topic to your favorites.

    • Click on the Add to Favorites icon
→ The topic has been added to your favorites.

The star icon will turn orange. Clicking it again will remove the topic from your favorites.

    Edit topic

The pencil icon takes you to the topic editing window .

    • Click the Edit button
→ The topic editing window opens.

    Delete topic

You can delete the topic using the trash can icon.

    • Click on the Delete icon
→ After a security query, the topic will be removed.

On the right side of the block, the icons of the publishing channels approved for the topic are listed, and below them, you can see the number of stories created for the topic. The arrow to the right indicates whether the topic row has been expanded or collapsed.

To be able to see the stories in the timeline at the same time in this view, you can expand the topic rows vertically – and collapse them again when you need more overview.

Expand topic rows and display stories

You can hide or show the stories belonging to a topic by expanding or collapsing the topics row.

    • Click the Expand All button in the header.

    Where do you find this?

→ All topic rows in the selected time frame that contain stories to be published are expanded downwards.
The stories are displayed in tiles within the expanded rows on their publication dates.

Instead, you can expand or collapse each topic block individually by clicking on the gray background within the block/row.

    Plan stories

When you expand a topic block, you'll see the stories already created for that topic in the expanded row, each displayed as a tile. Each story is displayed in a tile with a specific background color. The background color lets you see at a glance which publishing channel the story is intended for. For example, a light blue tile represents a Twitter publication, whereas a red background is used for YouTube stories.

A story tile contains the following elements:

1: The Edit button (pencil). Clicking the pen icon opens the story editing window . There you can edit the story, for example, changing the publication date or status.
2: the status of the story (In preparation/Approved/Published),
3: the story’s publishing channel (here, for example, YouTube),
4: the title of the story,
    5: the time of publication.
