    Story deadlines

    Story deadlines

Story deadlines display a weekly tabular view of story deadlines in the content area.

The menu bar is located on the left side of the screen.

You can expand or collapse the menu bar by clicking on the hamburger icon ☰.

    View story deadlines

    • Click the Story Deadlines icon in the menu bar.

→ In the content area you will see a weekly calendar.

Select a week for the display

In the header of the content area you can see the period of the last week you selected.

You can change this display period forward or backward by weeks.

    Select next or previous week

    • Click on one of the double arrows to go forward or backward one week.

Deadlines of stories in the displayed week

The weekly view in the content area lists the days from Monday to Sunday line by line.
Below each day, the stories that must be completed on that day (deadlines) are displayed. Each row below a weekday corresponds to a story and contains the following information: thumbnail, topic title, story title, deadline, publication date, publication channel, status, and editor. You can identify a story's publication channel by the corresponding icon or background color.

For each day of the week that contains story deadlines, the entries can be expanded or collapsed like a menu. A day of the week that doesn't display an arrow on the right also has no deadlines.

    Expand or collapse weekday

    • Click on a day of the week with an arrow to the right of it.

→ The day of the week is extended downwards.

You'll see the story deadlines for that day, row by row. Clicking on the day of the week again will collapse the row.

    Edit or delete a story

When you hover the mouse over one of the expanded story rows, the thumbnail at the beginning of the row is grayed out and two interactive icons appear in the dimmed image: Edit (pen) and Delete (trash can).
These buttons offer you the following options:

    Edit story

    • Click the Edit icon.

→ The topic editing window opens.

Here you can now edit the story.

    Delete story

    1. Click the Delete icon.

→ A security query for confirmation appears.

(Attention! If you change your mind, exit this security prompt by clicking the X in the top right corner of the pop-up.)
    2. Click the Delete button.
→ The story has been removed from the database.
