Allocating Material to the Event

The area Material serves to assign the material to the scheduled event (and to inform about the allocated material). If defined, the Clip number and the Material name will be displayed here. With the button , you may open the asset dialog. Here you can view the general asset date, edit the asset positions or ad cuts etc.: see 6.3 Dialog Edit Asset.

Relationship Between the Ad Cuts of an Asset and the Schedule

In case the number of the scheduled ad breaks in the Programmer or Planner differs from the created ad cuts of an asset (created in the dialog Edit asset in the tab Ad cuts) you will not be able to assign any material and you will receive a material error. If several similar ad cuts exist for an asset (e. g. two ad cuts at different positions) you can choose between them.

In the figure above Programmer and ad but assignment conform to each other. In the Programmer, you can choose the predefined ad cut for the event. However, in case the event receives a further ad break, the ad cuts of the asset will not match anymore with the actual event. You will not be able to choose the ad cut for the event, but you will receive a material error:

Setting of Flags

For any scheduled event, it is possible to set various flags which are relevant to the broadcasting information of this event (e. g.„Press“: all events with an activated press-flag will be exported via media services (the Internet, TV-magazines etc.). Since each scheduled event needs to be exported /communicated, ALL scheduled events receive the flag Press automatically. Flags are either displayed and edited in the dialog Edit events or in the context menu of the right mouse (Flags).

You may activate or deactivate flags for several events simultaneously via the context menu of the right mouse. For a multi-selection please select all required events in the program plan while holding and pressing the [SHIFT]-Key. Now you can de-/activate the flags. Active flags are marked with the following symbol:

If you want to add more flags or change the symbol of a flag, you can do this in Admin > Edit parameter > Value attribute.
