How can we help you?

Sorry, we didn't find any relevant articles for you.

Send us your queries using the form below and we will get back to you with a solution.

    Utilization pattern

You can create windows by applying utilization patterns to licenses, so that you don‘t have to create every single window in every single license manually. For example, if you want to provide blockbusters first to cinemas, then to PayTV, then for Video on Demand and then to FreeTV, you can create a utilization pattern „blockbuster“, that defines those windows at fixed intervals.

    Create and edit utilization pattern

You can create and edit utilization patterns in the menu Tools > Edit utilization pattern.

The list Utilisation pattern shows all existing patterns (including name and validity period). The buttons enable you to create a new pattern and to delete or copy an existing pattern. Copied patterns have the same name as the original pattern and the suffix (Copy); you can rename them by clicking on the name.

The list Windows of selected pattern shows the license windows of the pattern which has been selected in the list above. The buttons enable you to create a new window and to delete or copy an existing window. If you copy a window, all specified parameters (channelwindow typeplayout formatrunsnumber of runsrerunsnumber of rerunsbegin formulaend formulaVOD price, Currency, catchup source channelPredecessor windowmultichannel) are included in the copy.

    Apply utilization pattern to licenses

Utilisation patterns enable you to insert windows in licenses. The button Apply utilization pattern (dialog Edit contracttab Licenses) opens the dialog Apply utilization pattern.

You can choose the required utilization pattern from the drop-down list. The flags enable you to specify whether only selected licenses should be changed and whether existing windows of the licenses should be deleted. The newly created windows will then appear in the tab Windows.
