2 Administration

In the administration, you can publish movies.

Needed rights

In order to be able to administrate the WebSuite module Select, you need the rights START_OFFER and OFFER_ADMIN.

Preparing an offer

Offers are prepared in the ContentExplorer. Please proceed as follows:

  1. In the header, go to License > New offer.
  2. Add the general data of the offer. Please add a company in the field Firm. Users with the right START_OFFER can see all offers, which are linked to their company.
  3. In the tab Programs, please add all programs, which the offer contains. If the programs do not exist, yet, you can add these with the other two buttons.

    → Now, the programs appear in the WebSuite and can be administrated there.

Comments

As an administrator, you can add comments to a movie. This comment can only be seen by you and other administrators.

Generate images

In order to generate images, please proceed as follows:

  1. Start the preview of the movie, for which you want to generate images.
  2. Pause the video.
  3. Under Administration, press the button Generate Images.
  4. Now select the time distance between two pictures.
    Example: If you have a video, which is 92 minutes long, and you choose a time distance of one minute, you will receive 92 images. The first one will be the frame 00:01:00:00, the second one will be the frame 00:02:00:00. The more images you generate, the longer the job to generate the images will take.
  5. Press Start.
    → The images will now be generated. You can see the status of the job under Administration.
  6. If the status does not refresh by itself, you can refresh it manually with the button Refresh.

    → The finished job will look like this:

    → As soon as the job is finished, you can check the generated images in the gallery.
  7. If you are not satisfied with a picture, you can delete it with the button Delete.

Setting a Picture as Preview Picture

If you have no cover for a program, you can use one of the generated pictures as a preview picture. You can do this, by pressing the following button:

Publishing a Program

If you are satisfied with the generated pictures, you can publish the program. Please proceed as follows:

  1. Under Administration click Open.

  2. Confirm the message with Open.

    Notice:

    You can not undo this action. Once a program is published, logged-in customers can see the program. 

    → The status of the program will now be changed from In preparation to Open. Customers can only see programs, which are either Open or Accepted.

Reopen a Declined Program

If a program was declined by a customer, he can not see the program any more or change his decision. Should this happen by accident, you can reopen the program.

If a program has been accepted or declined, the status buttons can no longer be used.

To reopen a declined or accepted offer, please proceed as follows:

  1. Under Administration click Open.

  2. Confirm the message with Open.

  3. → The status of the program will now be changed from Accepted or Declined to Open. Now, customers can accept or decline the program again.
