    Manage program versions and series

    The Planner allows to create exact broadcast plans based on the program planning performed in the Programmer.

    First of all, the Planner contains a stock that provides an overview of promos, including trailer versions, commercials, design elements and secondary elements, and allows to manage it in a variety of ways, including:

    • Find the desired promos by searching, sorting and filtering it
    • Edit and archive promos
    • Add promos to folders, favorites and to the clipboard
    • View information such as periods of use, scheduling or assets

     

    The Stock tab (1) is located in the upper tool bar on the left. It contains the following sections:

    Searching (2), sorting (3) and filtering promos (4): see How to search, sort and items.

    4. Context menu: This is where promos can be edited and archived (see How to edit and archive promos).

    Folders (5), Favorites (6) and Clipboard (7): see How to add promos to folders, favorites and to the clipboard.

    1 How to search, sort and filter promos

    In order to find particular promos, it can be searched, sorted and filtered in the stock. In addition, there are stock filters to search within a particular promo type.

     

    The stock includes the standard search (1), sort (2) and filter functions (3). Users can also switch between different a title and list view (4) to display promos. There are also individual stock filters to the stock that will be shown in the following.

    The standard search, sort and filter functions and stock filters are complemented by the SmartSearch (5) that allows to create filters accessible to all users.

    Furthermore, users can determine the page number (6) and number of items displayed per page (7)

    2 How to edit, copy and archive promos

    The context menu of a promo also contains the same functions like in the Content App, with the difference that users will be directed to the Content App for editing. Also, deleting is only possible in the Content App.

    Promos can be edited and archived via the context menu.

     

    By clicking the Edit button (1), users will be directed to the corresponding editing dialogs in the Content App.

    For further use, promos can also be copied (2).

    The context menu also allows to archive promos (3). Archiving content means that it is hidden but not deleted. It can be displayed again if wished (see Archive items).

    3 How to add promos to folders, favorites and to the clipboard

    Promos can be collected in folders, favorites or to the clipboard, where they can be accessed and scheduled from in the planing process:

     

    Via the context menu (1), series and program/episode versions can both be added to a folder (2) and favorites (3).

     

    Once added to a folder or favorites, the respective content can be found in the Folder (1) and Favorite tab (2) in the left-side menu.

    By clicking the highlighted area (1), content can be added to the clipboard (2) by drag and drop.

     

    As soon as promos are added to the clipboard, they can be removed via the context menu (1) by clicking Remove from clipboard (2).

    The context also lists editing the content and adding it to favorites and folders as options.

     

    4 How to view promo relations

    Promos are associated with a variety of items. The relations to those items can be viewed in the stock, as well, including:

    • Periods of use
    • Scheduling
    • Copyright
    • References
    • Assets
    • Attributes

     

    By clicking a field, e. g. periods of use (1), the corresponding information can be viewed.
